Formerly known as “Quinta do Galeão”, Galeão Park consists of two buildings: Galeão Park I (Plot 1) and Galeão Park II (Plot 2), each one having 4 fractions. This contract comprised the rehabilitation and requalification of this building’s common areas, with particular incidence on its exterior, where logistics and services companies are currently located.
The western façade, in which the existing plaster was damaged and had exposed reinforcement and dents/scratches in the coating, underwent an intervention and was subsequently painted with vertical stripes and building identification. At base level, the South, East and North façades were clad on the outside with an insulation system finished in dark grey. The upper floors are covered with grey phenolic resin composite panels, in horizontal stripes below and above the spans, and covered with white panels between spans. The spans were replaced with new aluminium window frames, preserving their design and geometry.
The facades were submitted to a redesign exercise where the existing spans metric were preserved, the geometry simplified and technical installations were concealed. At ground floor level, the gates have also been replaced with new sectional ones, with man door access and in the same colour as the building’s base.
The exterior lighting has been renewed, using newer devices integrated into the phenolic panels, offering a decorative light which illuminates the white panels between spans. In addition to these elements, the complex also has a backlit panel identifying the building and its fractions.
